The temperature outside was frightful today but inside the store it was quite delightful, with a full stock of new and already favourite products from your neighbours Around the Sound.
Today we added Winston's filleted whitefish and lake trout that was still in Lake Huron yesterday, and a yummy potato caraway bread from our friend Kelsey at Rising Sun Bakery.
Chevre arrived from River's Edge Goat Dairy in Arthur - plain or with dill or garlic flowers.
We sampled summer sausage made from Robert Emerson's Charolais beef - tomorrow I think we'll put out some of Sean McGivern's for those who want it sliced and ready for a sandwich - maybe on Kelsey's rustic Italian baguette.
We put some spelt flakes on the shelf and restocked the popular puffed multigrain cereal. Sean is offering his medium organic eggs at $2.50 a dozen to anyone who buys a Grassroots Organics product this week.
Chris has been busy in the greenhouse and has brought a variety of sprouts and fresh cilantro, and he has living Boston lettuce, spinach and parsley.
Next week we'll have a glass top freezer so you'll be able to see our full range of frozen foods without hearing your mother's voice in your ear "Don't stand there with the door open!" Now if someone could get us a line on a glass fronted cooler...
There's lots more - come see for yourself. Just let me know if there is anything you'd like to see in the store that isn't there yet.
Peace
Anne
